Backstory

After the Curse, Askarnam left with her fellow Aughra dragonkin to build new home. During meetings with gorajo and cultural exchange, she befriended a skinweaver. The plan of freeing whole faction by transferring one’s mind into another body seemed simple and easy to Askarnam, but at the same time, she really pitied other factions. Nobody else seemed to care about either Syrtes, Dactyl or Nodon. She hoped to find a solution to save everyone, not only herself. During many of her meditations, she and the skinweaver brainstormed ideas. They came to a conclusion that the answer should lie in the Stone itself and it needs to be studied. Not physically, like a Dactyl would do, but rather magical way - something only an Aughra is capable of. Her closest kin diminished the idea as bad herbs rambling, so Askarnam decided to leave on expedition alone. She found the Stone on Lunar Isle, but the harsh cold was too much of a burden on top of constant pain and irritation that she had to back away. She stumbled onto a nomadic tribe, the future Fremennik. It instantly occurred to her that humans aren’t accustomed to cold either. Instead, they would cover themselves with other animals' fur and clothes, allowing them to not depend this much on fire and outer warm sources. She copied the way these lesser creatures defend from her main problem (cold) and came back to Lunar Isle to start her main goal. For a long time, she was unsuccessful, but also unwavering. At some time she took notice that on nearby island, Ungael, a Dactyl lab was created. Guided by loneliness and being stuck in her goal, she flew there. Zogorth claimed her a necrosyrte and threw her as a dragon bait. Askarnam managed to magically put her own will on the dragons, which piqued the interest in Lacrussa, who then decided to hear her out. Lacrussa claimed Askarnam’s plan was clever, but she refused to help in any way other than simply freeing her. Askarnam came back to Lunar Isle, where soon Fremennik also reached. She tried to hide the Stone from humans, but V eventually found it. Askarnam barely contained her fury and contacted the skinweaver again for advice on what to do. Gorajo decided to move the Stone into the Spirit Plane, where it resided a really short while before humans again took it to Khetsi. Due to overuse of the Stone there, Askarnam went mad and became a necrosyrte, an unstable beast full of resentment and anger. Whatever happened to her since then is unknown.
