A gentle giant with a warrior’s heart, he perfectly embodies the Mar’s wild soul, rejecting the Empire of man and living among nature. While not one to start fights, he certainly will end them if they come to blows. Giant kitty man, go ahead and pet him. He won’t mind.
Heavyset, covered in a mix of leathery skin, black scales and thick patterned fur. Long tail as thick as the average human, dexterous.
Altruistic to a fault, puts needs of others before his own to a dangerous degree. Thinks very poorly of himself, working to the point of exhaustion to prove that he isn't a burden. Desire to keep his loved ones safe from harm often comes across as condescending to those who don't know his desires; mistaking his actions as seeing them as fragile and in need of saving.
Struggles with social interactions and takes things at face value; struggling to read between the lines. Appears naive to some, buti is very intelligent. Knowledge of natural and arcane sciences rivalling most studied scholars. Often speaks his mind, unfortunately coming across as tactless.
Teeth and claws
Enslaved by the Empire after homeland was conquored. Sold to the gladiator pits, contract was purchased by a scholar wanting to study the Mar. The scholar grew attached to Wahi and wanted to adopt him after he lost his son in the war. The public didn’t react well to the study and the scholar was murdered on the street. Wahi was arrested after attempting to protect the scholar, killing the assailant. Was charged and set to be executed but Azzy intervened, who was then told to make an example of him or risk having innocents killed as blood needed to be paid with blood. Azzy chose to cut out Wahi’s shoulder. But the church wasn’t happy, eventually demanding more sacrifice…
